For some reason, the names on the copy protection guide here aren't working for me. Anyone have any suggestions for how to actually get into the game?

Cool, cool and cool! Don´t kill me but this one is better than first legendary chapter. And in the game there is the most cult command for me, because it made me stuck for years'!!!!! And do you know which? TURN CARD! Because on the other side of your personal card there is written the code of your case where you get the gun etc. I got known this command from some walkthrough. naaaahhh :sniper:

How do I get this game? I love the Sierra games. larry, pq etc...but they are all copyright protected! I don't mind paying for these games....but where do I get them?????????

I know how the copy protection works; I grew up playing this game. But there's something not working with either this version of the game or the key. I've matched the names to the faces-- but it still doesn't work. I've quadruple-checked my spelling, experimented with capitalization-- nothing works! Is my copy broken or something? or is the copy protection key just wrong?

Played this when I was younger and cracked it, now I can't get out of the station.

I set my gun sights, got new ammo
solved Pratt's drug problem,
got the mugshot of bains,
got the field kit into trunk of unmarked car,
read the subpoena,
got the wallet, diving licence, letter
checked everything on the computer (bains, pratt and the other officer mentioned in some wlakthroughs)

but everytime I get into the car the captain calls me on radio and I get hauled back before driving)

what did I miss?? :help:

Please tell me why my copy protection doesn't work!! I've tried everything!! I've checked a million times for my spelling, names, faces, everything!!! I've even tried the thing someone said up above about trying no name at all!! The only thing I notice, is that the homocidal number doesn't match up to the copy protection faces that you need to give the last name to. Please help me!!!! Please!!! Please!! I'm desperate to play this game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

try entering jessie bains for police quest 2 until it lets you into the game

If you have a cracked version just press "Esc" on the screen where it asks for the name, the game will start

I'm mildly baffled as to why I don't have enough cash to buy a ticket to Steelton.
I only have three dollars left after buying th flowers, and paying for dinner.

Restarted the game and it said that I only had 36 to begin with...

Ideas?

I would like to know what settings do you have the gun on to properly adjust your sights because I can not figure it out, also I would like to know where I can find a saved game that takes me right a past this point as well. Please reply back to me and let me know. Thanks a lot.

Do "PUSH VIEW" after you fire, then type "LOOK TARGET" and it will tell you what's wrong, like "your gun shoots high" or "your gun shoots hight and to the right". Adjust the gun accordingly, (if too high, press down arrow a bunch, etc, trial and error) then shoot again, do look target again and you will be done when it will say "your gun is properly aligned" after you do look target.

Sigh, yes it's expensive to be a gentleman.

You don't actually have to buy the ticket yourself. Your partner Keith or whatever, will call the captain and get the station to pay or something.

So don't worry, you wont have to get sonny to prostitute himself or anything :ok:

I can't leave the station and it is driving me mental! I have done everything you have mentioned, and everything it says to in any walkthrough, and I get called back to the station and suspended everytime I get in the car....:wacko:

Every time i fire up PQ2 in dosbox .73, when i EXIT the car in the very beginning, sonny bonds appears floating above the police station and can't go anywhere or do anything. Generally I have no problems running games but this one is frustrating, any ideas?

Not yet. The game is still sold as part of the Police Quest collection.

I never liked this game too much, because it was - just like many Sierra games - far too easy to die/make a fatal mistake in it. But what is more, the storyline of this game sucks and most importantly, it was far too difficult overall. Many petty details (e.g. checking the oxygen tank before diving) spoiled a smooth game flow and hence all the fun.

The good Sierra games in my opinion where the Larry games, King's Quest and Space Quest (particularly III).

That is more than likely due to Police Quest games being more about following Police rules. I found Police Quest 2 rather easy bar a few trick moments, checking the oxygen was a rather easy puzzle to work out. But different games for different players, I would like to point out that Larry, Space and Kings Quest games all had silly puzzles and unfair deaths.
