I feel special since I'm the first one to post on this game, 8) . I'm actually surprised more people haven't posted, this game was awesome. I think the creators deserve a big pat on the back for all the added plot, it made the game so much easier to understand and follow. I was completely drawn into this game the moment I sat down. The whole thing with the vampires and the werewolves was genious. It reminded me a lot of Quest for Glory 4. Don't get me wrong, the original was a classic in its own right, but this one just made so much more sense, and was more enjoyable to play. Thanks for posting it on the site.

I'm surprised not many people have posted here either. It hasn't been up long tho.
This game is AWESOME. Yes it is awesome. If you have played the original game then playing this game will be a completely new experience, while still retaining the feel of the original game. So much of this game has been expanded upon. It is well worth playing, and I reccomend the speech pack and music pack too.

I have just downloaded the speech and sound packs from the creator's website (http://www.agdinteractive.com/), are the KQ1 and KQ2 versions on abandonia the same?

KQ1 has a version 3 beside it and I am wondering whether I will need to download the game version from the AGD website or if KQ1/2 from here is the same version? (for compatibilty with the sound/music packs).

And yes this is another good KQ game, I only played (Sierra) Perils of Rosella and RH - Conquests of the Longbow when I was young so I have a lot of catching up to do! :w00t:

Hmm... I'm usually pretty good at adventure games, but even though i got stuck in this!!! ARGH!!! I hate it... I looked for a walkthrough to find out what i missed, but there aren't any (damn)...
Well, can anybody help me??? In the sorceres cave, on top of the mountain, i need to make the 2nd stone (i think) but i am missing a "blue mineral(!?!?)"... Could anyone help me to what it is and maybe where it can be found? I would really appreciate it!!!

but the fun ended when I was trying to escape the sharkees with the trident... just outside the cave I got caught up... it says I have no time to fight the two guards. I have no idea of what to do here. can anyone help me out??

It's funny, I played and beat this game all in one night...then a few months later I was looking through some websites and found the game again. Only I didn't remember playing it! That is, of course, until I started playing a second time. It all came back to me once I visited the village. Anyway, once I remembered that I had played the game before, I decided to continue playing :D...as this is a wonderful adaptation (almost partially different!) of the original.

can anyone help me get threw the swamp. i know you use the fist letters in the bible page. but every time i follow the first letters of each word i dont end up at the ferry man. maybe some one can give me the exact letters in order.

EVERYONE! I feel your pain!! This is a great game, I've got the walkthrough for the remake version as most sites have the older version, and there are a few slight, but confusing, differences. Like the basket.... :wall:

No offense to anyone at AGD (I appreciate their efforts to bring my one of my favorite games back to life), but I prefer the original version. Sierra's original graphics may be old, but they have a certain charm to them.

They're all ESA-protected, I'm afraid. But over at Abandonia Reloaded, there are very nice VGA remakes of KQ1 and KQ2, which are freeware, so you might want to try those:

:ranting: In a walktrhough that I got through Just Adventure it says to look at the swans then go to the baby bird and look at it and then catch it with your net. They are talking about the duckling in another pond right? When I try to throw the net on the duck it says, don't throw it in the lake or you can't use it there. When I try to catch it with my bare hands it says, you are quick but the baby bird is quicker. When I try to click the net on Graham it says, you're not into those tie-up games (har-de-dar). :Brain: Anyone with a suggestion? :cry:

this is for everyone who wanted help (i hope)

firstly sebastian, the sorcers cave in the sky, you don't make the second stone it becomes an emerald and the blue mineral can be obtained from the sword in your inventory, just use the mallet to get it out and add it to the mixture

Flep, possum's (little red riding hood) bucket isn't in the mailbox and never will be, it can either be found near the beach or on your way to the town, keep searching around the map in places other then the mailbox

Swamp directions for anyone who needs them is S,S,W,W,S,S,E,W,W. It may be confusing to go east then come back the way you came but it has to be done in this way just follow those exact directions and when the camera is behind you walk up the boat guy

When escaping from the sharkies, after getting the tridant, get out of the room and get back on the seahorse, take the escape challenge and avoid the rocks (it's a little minigame) then once in open waters use the tridant on the cave wall to block in the sharkies. If that makes sense.

Kings Quest Woo: There is a single yellow duck in a pond elsewhere that you can catch with the net, make sure the net icon is on the duck

To get past the sharkies to get to the tridant simply select the hand icon and click the seahorse...

I'm in the scorcerer's cave at the top of the mountain. I need some kind of flask/vial to put the earrings, flower etc in. But I can't find anything! The walkthrough refers to a flask. Where is it? I can't find it! (My pc has some issues with brightness, so my screen is too dark to see details, maybe that's why I can't find it.)
And then there's something about a firestone? Where can I find that?

I hope someone can help me out with this, because it's driving me mad!

Im trying to download the Kings Quest series but aparently AGDinteractive is trying to free up some server space for their release of CFG2.

Sorry, generally the KQ games are protected/sold so noone here can direct you to where to get them for free.

Exceptions are KQ1 and 2 which are freeware (according to the oldwarez list). This list hasn't been updated in a while and I am not certain about the status of these two games

um. Kings Quest 2 - Romancing the Stones VGA is not a Original Game from Sierra (but Kings Quest 2 - Romancing the Throne is) but a Remake from AGDinteractive and is Freeware.

@Erick you can downloads Remake from KQ 1-3 here and on AR, but the Original Series aren't downloadable.

Okay, before they announced the FTTP Maintenance, The link to download KQ2VGA just sent me to the AGDinteractive homepage where they aparently were making server space available for Quest for GLory 2 release. So there wasn't a link to download the game there like it woudl say "Agdinteractive/DOWNLOAD/FILE/HERE it just said AGDinteractive.com

So really there wasn't a link available when I posted that. Now theres nothing available lol.

The newest version (made after March 2009 or something) won't work on my computer. When I tried to open the downloaded file, an error message came up saying "file contains invalid contents". This file was supposed to be supported by Vista as part of the Version 3 upgrade. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this?
