you can get the emulator to look liek that old screen. for example many spectrum emulators (such as Klive or is it clive?) can make your monitor look like CRT TV. add the original screen to that and it is almost perfect. then you add a tape and load a tape manually at normal emulator speed. i mean who doens't want to wait 5 minutes to load a game?

if course you can also run it with "current graphics" mode and increase emulation speed to load the tape in few secs. or just use image file.while loads instantly.
