Lemmings is one of those series of games that has that “cute” charm but at the same time makes you want to throw your monitor out of the window when it gets fiendishly hard. And Lemmings 3 (or Lemmings Chronicles as it was called in some places) is no different.
If you've played the previous games then there's not that much different here from the previous games at all bar new levels and a slight modification to the system. The changes to the system are inventive though since now you only have 4 main types of lemming selectable and the rest are accessible by picking up a powerup (e.g builder) and clicking on the fourth button along the bottom.
This is a good change to the system in my opinion since it means you don't get so confused over what type of lemming you need in certain situations. The new levels are as tough as ever and they are split into three types: Classic, Shadow and Egyptian.
As good as the improvements to this are, it's missing one vital thing: That magic which made the older games so much fun to play. Overall I'd rate it 3/5 for the fact it's good gameplay wise.
